Needs of the Public

As a small business owner I try my very best at being available to provide services to the public.
It can be a daunting task when faced with the needs of my life in relation to everyone else's. The problem is I need time as much as any other.

If I say I am too busy, or I am not accepting clients at this time, or I have an engagement, then inevitably my client will go elsewhere. All of the hard work, and time I have spent is wasted if this happens. I provide a service, which is in high demand.

I get comments like, you work is easy, you just play and scoop, it is not that hard. But no one thinks about the hours spent driving in traffic, or cleaning up poo and pee from a dog distressed or a cat that gets angry that the owner is gone. The needs of the public are great. The dogs and cats are in need and I am too. I get a total of 7 hours out of a day. This is split for my family and myself of which most is spent sleeping, not being able to go anywhere with out disappointing or loosing a client of which including the holiday's.

It is times like these that I wish people could be understanding. The demands are great, and I am only one person in the sea of pets. My pets don't even see me at times, and I wonder if my client's job did not ever give them a break what they would do! Probably quit.

My hope is that everyone respects everyone else's needs without being passive aggressive, and that I do not loose a client because I need some time for myself and family.
